Good web site! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I've subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a great day! cgkgbdkbfkgadfbb

Glad that you like the site. Changes are still being made as I figure out how to use the updated template. Keep checking back.

Wonderful site. Been living in Vernon for 8 years now. I love history and have been reading and learning a lot about the town I live in. Thanks for providing this site for us.

Hi Mike,
So glad that you and Duffy have been corresponding. He was so surprised to learn that he had relatives in Australia. Amazing what one can find on the Internet.
Best,
Jean

Hello Jean
Thankyou for your reply. As you are probably aware, Duffy and I have now exchanged a number of emails and the information that is exchanged is fascinating. Thankyou for the offer of the photograph but I managed to obtain one during my internet search activities.
Regards
Mike Morgan

Good morning Mike,
I left a message with Francis (Duffy) Brookes, George S. Brookes' grandson, about your kind offer. They may be on vacation. I will let you know when I hear from them.
Let me know if you want me to take a photo of the Brookes family stone in Grove Hill Cemetery in Rockville.

Greetings from Brisbane Australia to all descendents of Rev George S and Mary Brookes. My grandmother. Emmie Deeley of Brierley Hill Staffordshire, was visiting the family when she suddenly passed due to a heart attack. She is buried in the Brookes family grave in Rockville. I have a photograph of myself, my mother, my grandmother and my great-grandmother (Rachel Yardley) if this would be of interest to anymember of the family. Please contact me if you wish.
